These 7 Coventry City players will exit the CBS Arena before this coming season if circumstances don’t change says the manager

The last two seasons have been filled with so many nearly moments for Mark Robins and Coventry City.

Heartbreak at Wembley is difficult enough, never mind in consecutive years and in two different championships. The only team that truly understands what the Sky Blues have gone through is Solihull Moors, who were defeated in two finals at the home of English football last season.

Despite all of the frustration, there has also been a great deal of joy and success. Even if they did falter towards the end of the 2023–2024 season, they are confident in their team’s ability to compete among the best in the league.

This summer, Liam Kelly, Simon Moore, Dermi Lusala, Bradley Stretton, Luis Binks, and Callum O’Hare—six players of the 23/24 team—officially left the team.

The next time around, it will likely be much the same since seven players have contracts that expire in less than a year, which will force them to leave the CBS Arena. When that time comes, they aim to have accomplished what they were unable to in the first two seasons.

Kasey Palmer

The Jamaican international proved vital to the team when Callum O’Hare was sidelined by injury or saw a decline in play. With O’Hare’s departure, Kasey Palmer will probably have a larger role in Coventry’s future.

The Chelsea academy alumnus will be playing at the CBS Arena for the third, and maybe final, season.

Jake Bidwell

Jake Bidwell, the wise guy, is expected to depart the Sky Blues in the summer of 2019. After joining from Swansea City, he has been with them for less than half the season than his Jamaican colleague, but he has had a fantastic effect.

Even though he isn’t the most gifted player on Robins’ team, Bidwell has made a significant contribution.

Jamie Allen

If nothing changes, Jamie Allen, another outstanding player of the team who will depart in less than 365 days, will be warmly remembered by the Coventry supporters.

In comparison to the previous campaign, the manager employed and required him far less in the 23/24 campaign, which may indicate that his time with the team is slowly drawing to an end.

Fabio Tavares

The Portuguese winger’s off-the-bench effort against Manchester United in that FA Cup final is unquestionably one of the most memorable moments or games of his tenure as a City player. With only 30 minutes remaining in the season, he entered the game and assisted Ellis Simms in launching the comeback with a goal.

Given Coventry’s abundance of forward options, it’s unclear how much he’ll play in the 24/25 season. That performance will remain long in the memory, whatever happens.

Ben Wilson

Oliver Dovin’s recent arrival plus the fact that Ben Wilson trailed Bradley Collins throughout the majority of the previous campaign suggest that not much will change about Ben Wilson’s contract and that he will leave at the end of the season.

Jack Burroughs

The Scottish wide-midfielder/full-back spent the entire previous season on loan at League One’s Lincoln City, which may offer some insight into his future at Coventry.

However, opportunities can present themselves for him given his position and the boss’s game plan. For now, though, Jack Burroughs will bid adieu to the CBS Arena come summertime.

Ryan Howley

Like his Scottish colleague, Ryan Howley was also sent out for a short while during the previous game. His brief loan stint in the Scottish Championship with Dundee FC was unremarkable, and his absence from the Coventry first team since the summer suggests that, when his contract expires at the conclusion of the following season, he may be leaving permanently.
