Due to a catastrophic dump truck collision that happened early on Wednesday, Route 3 and Interstate 476 north are closed.
At mile marker 10.3, a multiple car accident involving an overturned dump truck was reported at approximately 3:30 in the morning.
Upon their arrival, Broomall and Radnor first responders discovered an overturned dump truck involved in a multiple vehicle accident.
According to a post made on Facebook by Broomall firefighters, those affected were assessed and treated by EMS before being taken to a nearby trauma facility.
Other units from Marple Township Ambulance Corps and Radnor Fire Company also arrived. The Pennsylvania State Police are looking into what caused the crash. At 8 a.m., I-476 North is still closed to facilitate the incident’s cleanup.
At the Route 3/I-476 Interchange, fire police units from all across the area are helping with traffic control.
