Sheffield Wednesday charged by FA after confrontation

The Football Association (FA) has charged Sheffield United and Wrexham in connection with a crowd brawl that occurred during their Carabao Cup match on August 13.

During injury time, there was a brawl between the two teams; the Blades went on to win 4-2.

It is alleged that both clubs neglected to make sure their players did not act inappropriately or provocatively in the 94th minute, according to the FA.

League One team Wrexham and Championship team Sheffield Wednesday have until Wednesday, August 21 to reply to the charges.

In cooperation with the manager, Sheffield United will be paying 1 million EUR to FA
