A ruptured water main has caused a road to be closed in both directions on Wednesday morning, September 18. The closure of Lamberts Road to High Brooms Road was necessary due to an incident that occurred on North Farm Road.
According to Kent County Council Highways, “Road closed near Chapman Way for repairs to a burst main.” Anticipate delays in the nearby areas.”
The area’s traffic is now handling it fairly well, according to the traffic monitoring website Inrix. “We’re sorry to anyone affected by the burst water main on the High Brooms Industrial Estate, Tunbridge Wells, which happened last night,” said Greg Groombridge, Regional Leakage Manager for South East Water.
“Repairs are underway, however to ensure the safety of the public and our teams, the road is closed between Chapmans Way and Baldwin Lane. We estimate that repairs will be completed later today, but the road will remain closed until reinstatement can take place.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience these unexpected supply issues have caused residents and businesses.”
