She was born to Holly Thomas and Joseph Pete Jr. Her mother Holly Thomas was a rapper with stage name Holly Wood, apparently, she did rap music from 2001 to 2007, her love for rap made Megan Thee Stallion develop passion for rap at an early age when her mother started taking her to the music studio.
Holly Thomas supported Megan Thee Stallion when she started her music till she passed away in 2019 at age 47 as a result of brain tumor, her father also died in 2010 when the rapper was just 15 years old.
Megan Thee Stallion got her stage name in her early age when she was been called Stallion by her peers because of her height and the thickness of her body considering her age.
