Dj Khaled is popular musician, producer and record executive. He was born on November 26, 1975 in New Orleans to Palestinian parents who migrated to US before giving to him.

His father is from Mazra’a ash- Sharqiya in Palestine and his mother is from Ramallah. His parents played Arabic music which made the rapper develop keen interest in music. He has a brother Alec Ledd popularly known as Alaa Khaled who is an actor.

Career and Awards

Dj Khaled started his music career at a very young age. In the genesis of his career he collaborated with Birdman, Mavada and lil Wayne and helped them gain popularity.

The rapper ventured into djing in reggae songs, hip hop and dancehall. He then moved to Miami and co hosted The Luke Show on WEDR 99 jamz. In 2003, he started hosting a weeknight radio show on 99 jamz called The Takeover which gained audience in the country.

Dj Khaled released his debut album Listenn in 2006. It was released by Koch Records which premiered number 12 on the US Billboard 200 chart. He later released We The Best the following year which featured popular musicians and rappers including Rick Ross, Akon, Birdman, lil Wayne, Fat Joe,T- pain among others.

He has 13 studio albums, 33 music videos,45 singles and 12 featured singles.

Dj Khaled has numerous awards including 12 Grammy’s awards, BET awards, MTV awards and many more.

Dj Khaled is married to Nicole Tuck. They have two kids Asahad and Aalan who are all boys.
