Following the murders of three small children who were discovered in Staines, Surrey, along with their father’s body, police revealed that a murder investigation is currently underway.
The three sons of Angelika Swiderska, who was recently bereaved, Dominik, Nikodem, and Kacper Swiderski were discovered dead on Saturday, August 31, at a property on Bremer Road beside their father, her spouse Piotor Swiderski. Surrey Police named the three, two, and two-year-old children along with their father.
According to Surrey Police, no one else was being sought for in relation to their investigation. “I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family of Dominik, Kacper, and Nikodem for their loss,” stated DCI Kimball Edey, senior investigative officer.
“As our inquiry progresses, specialised officers will continue to support them. I kindly request that their privacy be protected during this extremely trying time.”
In a statement issued by the organisation, Ms. Swiderska spoke of her “amazing” husband and family while she and the rest of her neighbourhood struggle with the tragedies. In the touching homage, she described the three boys as “always happy, active children” and “full of life and happiness”.
“Piotr was an amazing husband and father to Dominik, Nikodem, and Kacper,” the woman stated. He would have done everything for us since he had the utmost affection for us. The kids spoilt their father a lot. Our boys were joyful, energetic kids who were full of life and joy. They never stopped smiling, and they would remark, “Mummy smile like us,” even if I appeared depressed.
“As we work to determine why this tragedy occurred, we would like to request privacy while we are in mourning for each and every one of them. I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone in our neighbourhood for the condolence notes, cards, flowers, teddy bears, and good remarks about our family.
Police had previously stated that they thought the killings were a single, unrelated occurrence. Leading the inquiry is DCI Gareth Hicks, who stated: “A thorough investigation is underway to determine exactly what happened in this truly tragic incident.” We express our gratitude to the nearby neighbourhood for their cooperation and comprehension during our investigation.
“We can also now update that whilst Bremer Road was closed for a significant amount of time yesterday, it has now fully re-opened and there will continue to be a police presence in the area for the foreseeable.”
