Officially done ; Excitement as Bromley Fc snap up deal for released Arsenal lad

League Two club Bromley FC have confirmed the signing of Arsenal academy defender Taylor Foran on a permanent deal.

On Friday, Bromley FC announced that they had signed Taylor Foran, a former Arsenal youth player. The centre back, who joined the team at the age of seven, has played for the Gunners for 13 years, all through the academy.

“Hi Bromley fans, [I’m] buzzing to have signed here, and I can’t wait to get out on this beautiful pitch in front of you all,” Foran said in a video after the move was announced.

Foran was one of 24 players released by Arsenal this summer at the end of their contracts, so he was able to move to Bromley as a free agent.

After hearing that he had been freed, Foran wrote to the supporters and Arsenal.

Foran posted on Instagram, “Dear gunners, I’ve been at Arsenal since I was 7 years old; as an Arsenal fan, it was every kid’s dream.”

“I’ve loved every minute of my 13 years with Arsenal helping me grow, but change always brings about progress and progress brings about change.” I’m eager to take on the challenge of playing football for the men’s first team and it’s time for me to move on from Arsenal.

“I want to thank all of the Arsenal coaches, staff, and teammates who have supported me in getting this far. “North London, Always.”

After spending time in the league on loan with Hartlepool during the second half of the 2022–2023 season, when he made 11 appearances, Foran is currently rejoining League Two with promoted Bromley.

Foran rejoined the Arsenal u21 team following that loan period, and he made 16 appearances for the Gunners in 2023–2024. Now, he will get the opportunity to play senior football more frequently.

Last season, Bromley received loans from both Alex Kirk and Kido Taylor-Hart from Arsenal, demonstrating how well the newly promoted team is using the Gunners’ youth.
