A woman is in bad condition in hospital after being involved in a crash in Sheerness. Kent Police is seeking for witnesses and dashcam footage after the catastrophic incident on Saturday.
The collision between a red Vauxhall Astra and a grey Peugeot 2008 occurred around 7.40 p.m. on Queenborough Road in Halfway. Patrols, the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and the Kent Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene, where the driver of the Vauxhall had departed before they arrived.
A woman who was a passenger in the Peugeot was transferred to a London hospital and is still in bad condition. Two men from the same vehicle received treatment at a nearby hospital. Later that evening, a suspect in his twenties was apprehended in connection with the event.
The local man was later released on bail and ordered to return to the police station for additional investigation. Officers are asking anyone who observed the collision and has not yet spoken with the police to call 01795 419119 and quote reference 46/120410/24.
Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also urged to check for relevant footage.
