Reasons why three-month closure of Grimston Road could be ‘life-threatening’ for King’s Lynn residents.

A scheduled three-month road shutdown has sparked grave worries because it may be “life-threatening.”

Council members were taken aback when they learnt of plans to close South Wootton’s Grimston Road, a vital route leading into Lynn, several times between September and December.

This is because construction on the contentious Knights Hill development, which included 574 homes and was approved last year, is constructing a roundabout.

The Lynn News was able to view a Q&A response from the Norfolk County Council, which stated that the road would be completely closed from October 21 to November 8 and again from December 9 to 13.
