A automobile collided with the side of a residence on a town street, prompting emergency personnel to hurry to the scene.
The police were summoned to Sandpiper Way in South Lynn at 6.48pm yesterday following the incident, and members of the public gathered around the site for quite some time.
Officers closed access to the street from Wisbech Road, and firefighters and ambulances arrived quickly.
Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to extract the automobile occupants, and images and video footage revealed substantial damage to the house’s masonry.
West Norfolk Council workers arrived at the scene to survey the damage, while paramedics examined the driver of the vehicle. They are believed to have sustained significant injuries.
Recovery workers arrived on the area about 9.40pm and were spotted driving away shortly after 10.20pm.
Significant damage had also been caused to the front of the car.
