This morning, an automobile accident caused St. Peter’s roadways to close.
The Albion Road was the scene of the collision. The Loop bus was being rerouted since it was unable to reach Green Lane, and the road between Sowell Street to Church Street was closed in both directions.
One driver fled the site of the crash, and the police are searching for them.
“Kent Police was called to a report of a two-vehicle collision in Albion Road, Broadstairs at 9am,” a spokesman for the force stated.A report of minor injuries prompted officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service to respond to the site.
“An investigation is currently underway to find the driver of one of the vehicles, who allegedly fled the scene after the incident.”
Now that the route is unblocked, regular Loop services are operating again.
