Omarion is an American popular R and B singer, born on November 12, 1984 in Inglewood, California. He started singing at a tender age in school and was the lead singer of the Boy Band B2K. He was born to Trent Grandberry an athlete and Leslie Burell an R and B singer in the US.
Brothers And Siblings
Omarion has six siblings including three females and three males. Omarion is the 5th born of seven children of his parents. Amira Grandberry is the oldest sibling followed by Ukil Grandberry, Arielle Grandberry, Kira Grandberry, Omarion Grandberry(Omarion himself), Tymon Grandberry and the youngest sibling O’Ryan Browner who is also a singer, he has featured in commercials for Kellog’s Corn Pops and McDonalds.
There were speculation as to whether Omarion was related to Marques Houston and claims of them being half brothers however, the claim is false, the two popular singers are not related in anyway. Marques was born by Micheal and Caroly in Houston and has two siblings Brandye and Daniel Houston.
Career
Omarion in 2004 featured in a several films including “You Got Served”, which also featured Marques Houston (a popular R and singer, songwriter and an actor ) and the B2K band. In the same year he acted in the comedy “ Fat Albert” and played the role of the school bully “Reggie” . He released his debut album titled O on February 22, 2005.
The album was number one on Billboard Hot 100 chart, his second single “Touch” also was at number 94. His album sold about 758,000 copies in the United States. The album was nominated for the Best Contemporary R and B Album at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards.
The following year, Omarion released his second album On December 26 which also debuted number one on Billboard 200 and R and B Hip Hop Album Charts. His second single “Ice Box” ranked No.12 on Billboard Hot 100 and considered to be his best single so far. He has featured in Movies like Somebody Help Me , The Proud Family, Feel The Noise and many more.
Family And Relationship
Omarion is blessed with two children, a boy and a girl with ex girlfriend Apryl Jones, their relationship lasted for three years from 2013 to 2016. His son is called Megaa Omari Grandberry and his daughter Amei. His relationship with Apryl Jones was recorded on Love And HipHop Hollywood.
