Katy O’Brian is an American actress, writer, and martial artist. She was born on February 12, 1989 in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States of America. She is a mix race with white and African descendants. Her parents are Jack O’Brian and Von Johnston.
Katy studied Martial Art when she was five years old and earned her brown belt in Shorei Goju RYu karate. She later attended the Indiana University Bloomington, studying psychology and Germanic studies. She had her black belt in Hapkido through the US Hapkido Federation.
Katy after completing school, became a police officer at the Carmel Police Department in Indiana and worked there for seven years.
She came to limelight for her role as Communications Officer Elia Kane in the second and third season of The Mandalorian, George in Syfy’s zombie show Z Nation, Major Sarah Grey in The CW’s superhero series Black Lightening, Jentorra in Ant man and the Wasp Quantumania and Kimball in Agent of Shield.
