Everton is one team rumoured to be interested in a transfer, but Celtic has given support.
Frank McAvennie, the idol of the Celtics, is backing his old team to sign Wilfried Ndidi instead of Everton or another team.
Following his tenure with Leicester City, the Nigerian international is a free agent. Everton under Sean Dyche is rumoured to be one of the interested parties, and since last summer, there has been speculation of Brendan Rodgers rejoining the defensive midfielder he worked with at the Foxes.
According to McAvennie, Football Insider, Champions League play might be sufficient to seal a deal for Celtic. He declared: “This is exactly what I’ve been calling out for.” He played in the Premier League, as I recall, and he performed admirably. When he performed down there, he was frequently one of the highlights and rather stunning.
“Is he really that old, too? He’d be fantastic, I believe. Someone with that calibre of background. I have a good feeling Brendan will be able to get him. That would be fantastic.
