Serious crash incident in Skegness as police close road

Lincolnshire police were called to Grosvenor Road at 6.52pm yesterday evening.
A road in the middle of Skegness is currently closed due to a’serious incident’. Police said they were called to Grosvenor Road, at the junction with Cavendish Road and near Roman Bank, at 6.52pm yesterday.

The Lincolnshire Police press office has not disclosed what happened, other than to say it is a “serious incident”. According to the police, a scene guard and a police cordon have been set up from Dorothy Avenue to Cavendish Road.

“Investigations are ongoing. We will provide updates on our website as soon as we have more information.”

Our reporter on the scene received photographs of a blue tent around a property near the intersection with Dorothy Avenue.

Our correspondent has already left the scene on Grosvenor Road, Skegness.

A police cordon remains in place, with policemen on the scene.

Police claim they were called to the street, at the junction with Cavendish Road and near Roman Bank, at 6.52pm yesterday.

We are awaiting a more detailed comment from Lincolnshire Police as to what happened.
