With the assistance of Carla Rowe, the captain of Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football (LGFA), Lidl Ireland launched its newest store on Thursday in Newcastle, County Dublin.
With the new location, Lidl now has 179 locations throughout Ireland, including 52 in Dublin.
Early on Thursday morning, crowds flocked to be among the first customers to enter the new Main Street Upper store and take advantage of opening day activities and deals.
The eagerly awaited new store provides consumers with a first-rate shopping experience thanks to its sleek interior design, which features a big sales floor, wide aisles, and high ceilings.
Free coupons to shop Lidl’s well-known brands and middle aisle favourites were given to the first ten customers who entered.
John Kinsella from the nearby St. Finian’s Community Hall was invited by the Newcastle team to accept a donation of €1,000 in Lidl vouchers to commemorate the store’s opening.
The community as a whole benefits from the facility, which is managed by a volunteer-led group and offers a warm environment for people to interact and get assistance.
‘A Very Proud Moment’
“We’ve been looking forward to finally opening the doors of our brand new, state-of-the-art store here in Newcastle,” store manager Dawn Hayden said during the opening.
“I’m overjoyed to see so many of our customers here today and to feel such a warm welcome from everyone.”
The city of Newcastle is growing, and the locals have been eagerly awaiting the inauguration of this new store.
