Former Shrewsbury Town, Exeter City, Carlisle United and Cheltenham Town Prolific forward set to join Motherwell

The completion of Motherwell’s 12th new signing of the summer is imminent.

Gloucestershire Live believes that Motherwell and experienced centre forward Ryan Bowman have reached an agreement to sign a one-year contract.

The 32-year-old has played for Shrewsbury Town in League One for the past three seasons; on the first day of the previous campaign, he scored the game-winning goal against Cheltenham.

In the past, he has also played for Carlisle United, his hometown team, Exeter City, Gateshead, Torquay United, York City, Hereford United, and Darlington.

The 6′ 2″ forward scored two goals for York in League Two against Cheltenham during the 2013–14 season.

In more over 550 career games, Bowman has scored 150 goals.

Prior to signing with Shrewsbury in the summer of 2021, he came dangerously close to joining Cheltenham.

After his former Hereford teammate Harry Pell, Scot Bennett, Ryan Haynes, Luke Young, Arkell Jude-Boyd, Joe Day, Owen Evans, Liam Dulson, Ethon Archer, Harrison Sohna, and Lewis Payne, he is now set to become the 12th new signing of the summer for the Robins.

On Tuesday, a youthful Robins team suffered a 3-0 loss at Hungerford Town. The first team will play at home against Bristol City on Friday at 7.45 p.m.
