Tragedy in Rubery as man found dead in ‘unexplained’ incident at Hereford, West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses.

Police have erected a cordon and blue tent in Hereford Close following the ‘overnight incident’

After a ‘unexplained’ incident overnight, a man was discovered dead in a street in Birmingham. An inquiry has been opened by West Midlands Police in response to the Hereford Close, Rubery incident.

Officers blocked off the street and set up a blue tent about 1:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, August 21 in response to calls. The man was discovered by the police outside a house on the street.

At the site, his death was affirmed. According to authorities, his death was “treated as unexplained” once his family was notified.

A request for information was made, and witnesses were asked to get in touch with the police. West Midlands Police released a statement in its entirety, saying: “We are looking into the death of a man who was discovered outside a Birmingham home today.

At about 12.30 am, we received a call to an address in Hereford Close, Rubery. Sadly, a male who had been located by officers was declared dead at the site. His family has been notified.
“The man’s death is being investigated to see how it occurred, and it is being considered unexplained. If anyone has any information, they can get in touch with us by phone at 101 and mentioning log 51 of August 21 or through our website’s live chat feature.”

It is understood West Midlands Ambulance Service was not called to the incident.
