The body of Karl Pyle has been confirmed by Northumbria Police to have been discovered in the Newburn district on Newcastle’s outskirts.
Last month, Mr. Pyle, 32, was last observed leaving a residence on Ryton’s Whernside Walk.
After failing to return to his Blucher, Newcastle, home and failing to get in touch with friends and family, he was declared missing.
Although formal identification has not yet occurred, according to the police, they have notified Karl’s family of this news and are offering them support.
Northumbria Police Detective Inspector Gillian Glenwright stated: “We hoped we wouldn’t have to provide this update.”
“After a thorough search, we have regretfully located a body in the Newburn area.
“We think this is Karl, and formal identification is starting right now.
“We would ask that Karl’s family’s privacy be honoured while they process what has occurred.
“We will continue to provide them with all the help they require, and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this really trying time.
