At around 1:55 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, officers were dispatched to a residence in the city’s Woodlands neighborhood in response to allegations of a violent sexual assault.
A man has been detained after a woman was allegedly raped in the west end of the city. Officers were called to a residence in the Woodlands area of the city at around 1.55am on Tuesday, September 17, following claims of a ‘severe sexual assault.
Police claim that a 21-year-old male has since been arrested in connection with the alleged event. He is expected in court at a later date.
“Around 1.55 am on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, we received a report of the serious sexual assault of a woman at a property in Glasgow,” a Police Scotland spokesperson stated.
An arrest and charges were made against a male, age 21.
“He has a court appearance scheduled for a later time.”
