Kepa Arrizabalaga signs a new contract with Chelsea and goes on loan to Bournemouth.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, the Chelsea custodian, has been loaned to Bournemouth for a season. The Spain international, who spent the previous season on loan at Real Madrid, was one of the Chelsea players working apart from the first squad.

In 2018, Arrizabalaga signed a £71.6 million contract to join Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao, making him the most expensive custodian in the world. As Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola’s lengthy tenure as a player at the club came to an end, Arrizabalaga rose through the ranks at Athletic.

Although Bournemouth was considering a move for Aaron Ramsdale, the custodian for Arsenal is set to sign a £25 million contract to join Southampton.
