It was revealed that the woman who passed away after a disturbance at an Edinburgh home was Margaret Parker, 78.
Mrs. Margaret Parker,78, has been identified by the police as the woman who passed away after an altercation inside an Edinburgh home.
Her death at a residence on Fernieside Crescent on Tuesday morning has led to the arrest and charging of a 36-year-old man.
In addition, he is accused of trying to kill two other women during this incident: a 42-year-old and a 55-year-old. They didn’t need to be treated medically.
The man is scheduled to appear on Thursday at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
A series of loud bangs can be heard in the social media video that shows police responding to the scene.
It is understood by STV News that these noises were police trying to enter a property rather than gunshots.
Detective Inspector Dougal Begg stated: “Our thoughts and prayers are with Margaret Parker’s family, friends, and all those impacted by this tragic incident.”
“Officers are still investigating this isolated incident, and there is a noticeable police presence in the area.”
The Procurator Fiscal will receive a report.
Police Scotland is urging anyone who has information that could be useful to get in touch with them.
