Drug dealer caught on Glasgow street with nine kilogrammes of cocaine and sentenced to years in prison

Following his detention, Paterson faced charges related to the seizure. He entered a guilty plea to narcotics offences at Glasgow’s High Court today.

On a Glasgow street, nine kilogrammes of cocaine were found on a drug dealer.

William Patterson entered a guilty plea to narcotics trading on July 22nd, following his arrest on Wallacewell Road last year with multiple kilogrammes of cocaine.

In March 2023, Patterson, 35, was apprehended after an intelligence-led operation by drug detectives when they stopped him and found nine kilogrammes of the class A substance.

Following his detention, Paterson faced charges related to the seizure. He entered a guilty plea to narcotics offences at Glasgow’s High Court today.

“This operation undoubtedly caused significant disruption to the local supply chain,” stated Detective Superintendent Steven Elliott.

“We will keep taking action against those involved in the drug trade because we are aware of the significant negative effects it has on both individuals and communities.”
