A driver died in West Sussex after colliding with a tractor and trailer.
Sussex Police said the 28-year-old male driver of a blue Toyota RAV4 died at the scene on Station Road in Petworth. His nearest of kin have been notified.
The 32-year-old tractor driver was unharmed in the collision, which occurred at approximately 19:20 BST on Thursday.
Station Road was closed southbound at the junctions of Rotherbridge Lane and Kilsham Lane, and was expected to stay closed until Friday afternoon.
According to the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, a signposted diversion may take drivers nearly 55 minutes to travel between Duncton and Coultershaw Bridge, a journey that typically takes three minutes.
Anyone with knowledge on the crash is encouraged to contact the police.
