A police officer has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at Buckinghamshire.

Luke Christopher Horner, a Thames Valley police member stationed in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, is accused of producing an offensive image of a kid and of having penetrating sexual relations with a juvenile on one count.
The 24-year-old was charged, according to Northamptonshire Police, after an incident in Rushden last Sunday “in which a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.”

Horner was scheduled to appear at the Magistrates’ Court in Northampton on Friday.

The Independent Office for Police begin (IOPC) has been notified and Thames Valley Police has suspended the officer from duty while they begin a separate misconduct inquiry.

“This is a live investigation and therefore the force will not be making any further comment at this time,” a spokesman for Northamptonshire Police stated.
