The gentleman who suffered serious injuries in an accident at St Albans City this morning has passed away.

We regret to inform you of the passing of the guy who was involved in an accident at St. Albans City Football Club this morning and sustained critical injuries.

Clive Churchhouse is “one of the St Albans City’s longest serving supporters and volunteers,” according to an update on the Saints’ website.

Lawrence Levy, the chairman of the National League South team, expressed the club’s sentiments when he remarked, “We are all completely devastated by the news.” Loved by all at the club, Clive had a huge personality and was always willing to lend a hand at the ground and when the team went on trips.

“At this very sad time, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Valerie, daughter Sallyann, son Keith, and his grandchildren, as well as his large circle of friends.”

We at Kenilworth Road would like to offer our condolences to the family, friends, and people of St. Albans City during this extremely difficult time.
