A man living in Norwich is charged with murder following an assault at a pub.

Tyrone Busch made an appearance at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Friday about Michael O’Dwyer, commonly known as Michael Spooner,’s passing.

One day following his attack outside the Red Lion bar in Dereham, Mr. O’Dwyer passed away.

When Busch provided an address on Norwich’s Hall Road in court, locals expressed their horror at the revelation.

Employees at the Best One convenience shop in the area expressed astonishment.

“The news is quite startling. You’re not expecting to hear this,” someone remarked.

The news shocked Charlotte Cole, general manager of the Freemasons Arms.

Last Saturday night, Mr. O’Dwyer was hurt in an incident outside the Red Lion.

He returned to his Dereham house, but on Sunday morning at around five in the morning, an ambulance was summoned, and he was brought to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, where he passed on that evening.

His death was not reported to the police until Tuesday, when they began an inquiry that resulted in a connection to the Dereham event.

According to a post-mortem examination, a traumatic head injury is the preliminary reason of Mr. O’Dwyer’s death.
