A live tram incident in Nottingham has caused “significant travel disruption” for the passengers.

There is a ‘totally obstructed’ crossroads.

Passengers are experiencing “significant travel disruption” as a result of a tram incident at a busy intersection in Nottingham. A tram and one other car are involved in the incident at the intersection of Berridge Road and Noel Street in Forest Fields.

It was first mentioned around 10:50 a.m. According to NET Trams, there is no service operating in both directions between the Forest and Wilkinson Street stops.

Although buses were taking tram tickets, it noted that this would cause “significant travel disruption” for passengers. “Completely blocked” is how Nottingham Travelwise, the city council’s traffic monitoring agency, described the junction.

NET said: “Due to a RTC on Beaconsfield St we currently have no service operating between The Forest and Wilkinson St in both directs. NCT Yellow line buses are accepting tram tickets and passes”

Traffic monitoring site Inrix stated: “Reports of accident, a tram and a car involved on Berridge Road in both directions at Noel Street.”

The crash scene is surrounded by a line of cars, according to the traffic monitoring website Inrix.

It says: “A car and a tram are involved in an accident at Noel Street, causing Bergridge Road to be blocked in both directions and traffic to back up.”
