THREE people have been rushed to hospital for serious injuries following a police chase in Ferndown.

Yesterday evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., Wimborne Road East near Ferndown was the scene of a two-vehicle collision that was reported to Dorset Police.

According to reports, a black Audi A1 struck a blue Vauxhall Zafira close to The Pure Drop bar after failing to stop for police near the Canford Bottom junction and continuing towards Stapehill.

In order to facilitate the response of emergency personnel and the documentation of the collision scene, road closures were implemented.

Two guys, one from Wimborne Minster, age 20, and the other from Ferndown, age 18, were both admitted to the hospital to get treatment for critical wounds.

In addition, the Vauxhall Zafira’s driver was admitted to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

“We are continuing to conduct enquiries to establish the full circumstances of how this road traffic collision occurred,” stated Police Constable Tracey Downer of the significant incident Investigation Team. “This collision resulted in serious injuries to those involved.”

“I want witnesses to get in touch with us if they haven’t already done so with the police.

“I would also like to hear from any drivers who may have taken pertinent dashcam footage while they were in the area.”
