Three men charged after firearm burglary in Cheltenham

Seven were arrested in total after police were called to a house

Following an alleged aggravated burglary in Cheltenham involving a firearm, three men have been prosecuted. According to Gloucestershire Police, the town was the scene of the alleged crime.

Not long after 7:25 p.m., police were summoned to a house on Tennyson Road. According to reports, the homeowner was threatened with a gun if he didn’t give the money.

Subsequently, the force was notified of the arrival of a car on Moors Avenue and the suspicion that its occupants were carrying a gun. When armed police arrived on the scene, they seized the weapon and made seven arrests.
Jamie Curran, 34, of Cambridge Avenue in Cheltenham, has reportedly been charged with attempted robbery, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and holding a firearm with the purpose to conduct an indictable offence, according to police confirmation.

In addition, 35-year-old Nathan Edwards, who does not have a known address, is accused of attempting robbery, possessing an offensive weapon in a public setting, and carrying a firearm with the purpose to conduct an indictable offence.

Lastly, Jason Marks, 48, of Cheltenham’s Norfolk Avenue, has been accused of helping a criminal. The three males are scheduled to appear in court today at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court after being placed on remand.

In addition, two males and two women were detained by Gloucestershire Police in relation to the suspected aggravated burglary. Since then, they have been freed on police bail until more investigation is conducted.
