Headteacher, Mr Carter said: “I am shocked and saddened to hear the news that Dishone Lloyd, a student of Mark Hall Academy, has lost his life in a tragic accident.
Dishone was not just a student at Mark Hall; he was a cherished member of our family and community. He brought positivity and warmth to those who knew him, and his presence was felt throughout our Academy. Dishone’s spirit, laughter, and enjoyment of life was enjoyed by us all. He had just successfully completed his secondary education and had a bright future ahead of him, and the suddenness of this tragic loss is a stark reminder of just how precious and fragile life can be.
In times like these, it is important that we come together to support one another. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to Dishone’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. We stand with them, offering our love and support to help navigate this unimaginable grief. Dishone was a special pupil at Mark Hall Academy and his memory will act as a beacon and guiding light for us moving ahead, he will never be forgotten. With his family’s support and guidance, we will organise a memorial where we can celebrate his life, share memories, and his achievements.
We are arranging counselling services at the school for any student or staff member who needs someone to talk to. This support will be available on Thursday 22nd August for year 11 pupils when collecting their exam results. The leadership team will support the students throughout the morning. We understand that grief affects everyone differently, and it is important to seek help if you need it.
Please know that we are here for the school community and that we will face this tragedy together. During this profound loss, let us remember Dishone for the light he brought into our lives, and let us support each other, particularly his loving family as they work through this painful time. “With deepest sympathy and heartfelt sorrow”
