The woman, in her late 30s, died in hospital
Tragically, a woman who had a heart arrest on a peaceful Harwich estate passed away in the hospital. The anonymous woman was in critical condition when she was taken to the hospital on Monday night.
At approximately 8.45 p.m. on Monday, the ambulance service contacted police to Norway Crescent in Harwich in reference to a woman who had suffered a cardiac arrest. The air ambulance and other emergency personnel raced to the scene and transported the woman to the hospital.
Tragically, the woman, who was in her late 30s, passed away yesterday in the hospital. The reasons behind her untimely death are still being investigated.
Officers have arrested one man in connection with the woman’s death. He remains on bail and police have asked the public not to speculate on the circumstances behind the woman’s death.
Detective Inspector Kev Hughes from Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said “I would like to extend my condolences to this woman’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We continue to investigate what has happened, we are carrying out enquiries with local residents and medical professionals in order to provide answers to her family.
“A man has been arrested in connection with this and currently remains on bail. Until the facts surrounding this death are established, we continue to ask the public not to speculate.”
