The trial of a Wigan man, who is accused of rape murder and “revenge porn,” among other crimes, has been rescheduled for the following year.
A woman over 16 is alleged to have been raped by Connor Gaskell, 25, of Knights Hill Crescent, Springfield, in March 2021.
In addition, he is accused of engaging in controlling or coercive behavior from August 1, 2020, to May 23, 2021. This allegedly involved physical assaults, property damage, threats to divulge personal information, phone monitoring, and online account hacking.
The woman’s body was discovered in the rear of his home, which he claims to have moved into five months ago, but his perception and choice of the deceased woman contradicts this.
Between November 1, 2020 and May 23, 2021, he is accused of threatening to reveal personal photos and videos, and in October 2020, he is accused of criminally damaging an automobile.
Gaskell faces charges of criminal damage to a television and assault resulting in actual bodily harm.
In addition, he is charged with affray on May 23 and with breaking windows, a door, and two cars.
A trial date of September 30 of this year was scheduled after Gaskell had previously entered a plea of not guilty to all charges.
