The collision between two automobiles occurred shortly before 6 a.m., with several buses on diversion.
A guy was detained for drunk driving in South London after two cars collided. At 5.47 a.m. this morning, police were dispatched to the intersection of Croydon Road and Manor Road in Wallington after receiving reports of a collision.
Officers were joined by the London Fire Brigade and the London Ambulance Service, and four persons were sent to the hospital. Their injuries appear to be life-threatening, and traffic closures have been in effect throughout the morning.
As a result of the collision, police reported that a guy in his twenties had been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. The Metropolitan Police released the following statement:
“Officers, the London Fire Brigade, and the London Ambulance Service attended and four people were taken to hospital for treatment; their injuries are not currently thought to be life threatening,” they reported.
“Road closures are now in effect. A man in his twenties was caught for driving while intoxicated. Investigations into the events are underway.
