A collision has caused extended rush-hour backups on the A50 this evening. The crash occurred near the Normacot turnoff.
As a result, lineups have extended all the way back to Sideway. According to an Inrix notice sent just before 5.50pm, the collision has left the eastbound carriageway ‘partially obstructed’.
The alert reads: “A50 eastbound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident at A5007 (Normacot).” “Congestion at the stadium junction.”
