A four-year-old girl and a nine-year-old boy were among three people killed when a car collided with a lorry in Leicestershire.
A man also died as a result of the collision on the A5 near Hinckley yesterday afternoon.
At 4.24pm, police were called to the area near Burbage after receiving a complaint of a collision between a silver BMW automobile and a lorry.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service, East Midlands Ambulance Service, and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
Unfortunately, the automobile’s driver, a guy in his 30s, and a nine-year-old kid who was a passenger in the car were both pronounced dead at the site.
A woman in her 30s and a four-year-old daughter who were passengers in the car were sent to the hospital.
The girl was tragically proclaimed dead at the hospital a short time later.
The woman is still in hospital in a serious but stable state.
The driver of the truck was not gravely hurt.
While emergency services were on the site, the route remained closed.
