The ‘human or animal organs’ were found inside a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton, by a passer-by – and the Metropolitan Police is investigating the circumstances around the incident
According to reports, a container in a Greater London park contained organs.
A member of the public made the horrifying discovery on Wednesday at around 4:30 p.m. in Rosehill Park, Sutton, south London.
The crime scene is still there, and according to the officers, the organs belonged to either an animal or a human. The contents will be forensically examined by investigators.
“Police were called at approximately 16:30hrs on Wednesday, 24 July by a member of the public who reported finding a container in Rosehill Park, Sutton containing what was described as human or animal organs inside,” a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman told The Sutton Guardian.
Police have secured the container, and forensic testing will be done on its contents. There is still a scene there, and investigations into the events are ongoing.
Regarding the container’s dimensions and the specific remnants found within, the police remained silent. For a response, The Mirror has reached out to the Metropolitan Police.
