Strood Motorcyclist killed in a terrifying fatal crash, police appeal for witnesses

Witnesses and dashcam footage are being sought after a fatal incident in Strood.

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at around 11.20 a.m., a cyclist was riding a black bike down Canal Road towards High Street when he collided with the driver’s door of a stalled red MG ZS.

The event, which occurred beside the Strood railway station entrance, was attended to by emergency personnel. The rider, a guy in his seventies, was taken to the hospital and eventually died.

Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the car or bike beforehand, to call them on 01622 798538 quoting XX/HM/049/24.
