Officers were called to Springburn Road at around 7.05pm on Saturday, following reports of a three vehicle crash. A 30 year old woman was arrested at the scene.
After reportedly creating a multi-vehicle crash and attacking a member of the public, an intoxicated driver was taken into custody.
At around 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to Springburn Road in response to reports of a three-vehicle collision. At the scene, a 30-year-old lady was taken into custody.
Police claim that after she was suspected of causing the crash on Saturday night, the female motorist ‘attacked’ a member of the public. The driver’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was found to be 73 on a roadside test, which is more than three times the legal limit of 22.
There were no reported injures following the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A spokesman for Police Scotland stated: “We were called to a complaint of a crash and subsequent disturbance on Springburn Road, Glasgow, at approximately 7:05 p.m. on Saturday. No injuries have been recorded.
“A 30-year-old lady was taken into custody and given charges in relation to the event. We’ll send the Procurator Fiscal a report.”
