Sheffield United Targets two players, manager confirms as his top players deal expires

Journalist Alan Nixon claims that Sheffield United has been investigating trades for Matt Grimes and Kenny McLean, but they might need to sell first in order to make room for them.

After being relegated from the Premier League, Blades manager Chris Wilder wants to prepare his team for the difficulties of playing in the Championship the next season.

Leeds is interested in Jayden Bogle, one player he has to fight off interest in, but sales may be necessary to support incomings.

McLean, an accomplished player from Norwich City, and midfielder Grimes of Swansea City are both being considered by Wilder as potential additions.

However, it appears that Sheffield United might have to make a sale in order to acquire either player for Bramall Lane.

Grimes has a three-year contract with Swansea and participated in all 46 of the team’s Championship games during the previous campaign.
