Following the Bank Holiday, more road closures are scheduled overnight throughout Surrey
After the bank holiday, more road closures are planned for Surrey this week. It’s important to check any closures that might have an impact on travel this week as the summer holidays come to an end and many people head back home to resume work and school.
There are a number of closures in Surrey; some affect Heathrow, some are on the A3, and some connect to other major routes including the M3 and M40. It is important for drivers to understand that highways might close as early as 9 p.m. and often reopen at 6 a.m. the following day.
Diversion routes will be marked with yellow signs; motorists should try to stick to these routes. It is recommended by National Highways to disregard satnavs, as they may contain errors regarding temporary detours.
