A woman died after concerns for her welfare were reported to the police.
Sussex Police say they were called to the property in Lake Drive after reports of concern for a woman in her 40s in Lake Drive, Peacehaven, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Nearby residents reported a number of police cars as well as an air ambulance being called to the scene.
“Police were called following concerns for the welfare of a woman in her 40s at a flat in Lake Drive, Peacehaven, in the early hours of yesterday,” a spokeswoman for Sussex Police said.
“Despite the best efforts of paramedics who commenced CPR, the woman was sadly declared deceased.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and this will now be a coronial matter.”
