Nigerian Protesters In their capital Abuja Defy Court Order, multiple causalities

Protesters on Thursday defied a court order restraining them from holding demonstrations against the government.

The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja’s Justice Sylvanus Oriji on Wednesday limited the protesters’ August 1 demonstration to the country’s capital’s MKO Abiola Stadium. He issued the directive while rendering a decision in an ex-parte application that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, had brought before him.

However, the irate protestors, who were marching toward Eagle Square under the banner of the “Take It Back Movement,” were visible.
