Newcastle United target and England international has signed a new three-year deal at Port Vale.

As we previously reported in May, the team was vying for the 17-year-old striker alongside Manchester United and many Bundesliga teams. Our goal was to sign him prior to any agreement being reached to preserve his value.

Now that Dipepa has agreed to a new deal with Port Vale, the League Two team is putting the player’s value ahead of any potential moves, thanks to the player’s breakout season and intense Premier League interest.

Toon scouts have been closely monitoring the young forward, who is handled by the same agent as represents Michael Mills, the highly-rated winger that Newcastle bought from Port Vale last year. The scouts have attended several England Youth games to monitor the forward’s excellent development.

Although it was anticipated that Dipepa would be the newest up-and-coming player to join our expanding Academy, where he would have the chance to train with teammates Trevan Sanusi and Leo Shahar from England’s U17 squad, it appears probable that he will stay in the EFL, at least for the time being.

One to watch in the upcoming years and a deal we might reconsider if the finances make sense, particularly if he keeps making development in the England junior setup and at the senior level with Port Vale.
