A MURDER investigation is underway after a man’s body was discovered at a residence in Swinton last night.
Detectives said they received reports of an incident at a residence on Agecroft Road about 9.10 p.m.
The body of a 40-year-old male, who has not yet been identified, was discovered on the property.
Two men, aged 43 and 46, were arrested nearby on suspicion of murder, according to police.
Det Insp Mark Davis of GMP’s Major Incident Team stated, “We have launched a full investigation to ensure the person or persons responsible are brought to justice.”
“We are working to identify the victim and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.” There is no reason to assume there is a larger hazard to public safety.
