Motorcyclist dead after 2-vehicle crash in Winchester

Motorcycle, car collided shortly after 6 a.m. OPP say

Following a collision with an automobile close to Winchester, a motorcyclist passed away from his injuries, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported on Monday.

The crash occurred just after six in the morning on Bank Street close to Cloverdale Road, northwest of Winchester, according to Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry OPP. At the moment of the collision, both cars were traveling north.

The 31-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital before being airlifted to a regional trauma centre. He was pronounced dead in hospital shortly before 6 p.m., OPP said.

The driver of the car was uninjured. OPP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
