Mother and daughter brutally stabbed to death in Suffolk

A 12-year-old girl found dead on a property died of a stab wound, according to authorities.

Locally known as Louise Nash, she was discovered dead with her mother Jillu Nash, 44, yesterday in Great Waldingfield near Sudbury.

Previously, Suffolk Police stated that her mother died from neck pressure.

According to the police, a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of two charges of murder and is currently in the hospital with significant injuries.

Police said a post-mortem investigation revealed that the girl died from a stab wound to the abdomen.
The force said that formal identification processes had not yet been completed for both victims.

According to detectives, the individual is still in custody at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, and his condition is stable.

They stated that they were treating it as a “contained incident, with no wider threat to the community,” and that they believed all three people knew each other.

Floral tributes have been laid outside the property.
One of the cards on the flowers said “two beautiful souls taken so tragically” and that the mother and child would be “so missed”.

The parish council wrote, “We are deeply sorry for your loss. It’s been a difficult time for your family; our thoughts and prayers are with you.”

A book of condolence has also been started at St Lawrence’s Church.

Suffolk Police stated that because one of the victims had “previous, but not recent” involvement with the force, the case had been forwarded to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

The force also stated that a gas leak had been recorded at the property, necessitating the evacuation of surrounding properties before it could be rendered safe.
