A police investigation is underway after a man’s body was discovered in an alleyway.
The discovery was made on Gregson Road in Prescot yesterday morning.
There has been a considerable police presence in the area all day.
Officers say the death is “treated as unexplained” at this time.
Merseyside Police stated in a statement: “An investigation is underway following the discovery of a man’s body in Prescot yesterday.”
“Officers were called to an alleyway on Gregson Road in Prescot after a member of the public discovered the body.
“At this time, the death is being investigated as unexplained, and a post-mortem is being performed to determine the cause of death.
“The deceased has not been formally identified.”
