A pedestrian has died following a collision with a car.
Norfolk Police said a silver BMW 530i collided with a pedestrian at about 21:06 BST on Monday at the junction of St James Road and Blackfriars Street in King’s Lynn, Norfolk.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been under investigation.
The road was stopped as emergency personnel responded to the situation, and it reopened around 07:30 on Tuesday.
Norfolk Police said they wanted to speak with a woman who was believed to have had a conversation with the victim just before the crash.
The force asked anyone who observed the collision or has dashcam footage to come forward.
Norfolk Police continue to appeal for witnesses and anyone with a dashcam who witnessed this tragic incident to help with the investigation.
